Communication is the KEY to Logistics Success

June 9th, 2011
Freight Brokerage, Trucker brokersThe logistics industry has been characterized by many as a sales driven industry. At Northern Freight Service, Inc, we have found that a sales focus is counterproductive. In fact, our experience has shown that the industry is a communication based relationship building process. Communication is the linchpin that aids all members of our industry in accomplishing their respective goals. We take our role as communications facilitator very seriously. When working with carriers and customers alike, we use three simple rules in all communication:
  • Clear – Northern Freight trains its specialists to ensure that all of our communication, whether electronic, voice, or in-person, are perfectly understandable to all parties involved.
  • Concise – Why use 20 words when you can use 5. Lets face it, our industry is busy and very time conscience. Getting to the point quickly saves everybody time.
  • Accurate – Mistakes cost money. As a 3PL, we believe that accurate communications are mission critical.
